Besides the obvious increase in sweaters and boots, fall usually brings out new hair and makeup trends as well. This year, there are five trends in particular that we are extra excited to take part in!
- Plum lips: You read that right! Dark lips are back in style and can be as stunning as ever if done right. If you're easing into the look, start with a lighter shade of deep purple until you feel more comfortable going full-on plum.
- Braids: It's no secret that braids are IN and this chic trend is showing no sign of slowing down. Part your hair down the middle and opt for a face-framing crown braid for a look that's both elegant and flirty. Finish the look with a light mist of texturizing spray like Oribe's Dry Texturizing Spray to keep your braid in place and you'll be sure to feel fabulous all day long!
- Mixed-up manicure: There are just way too many fun fall colors out there to just paint ONE on your nails at a time! We are loving the combination of Nubar's Rock Candy Crush and Strawberry Lemonade Crush. Try a colored french mani or a half-moon style.
- Sweet scents: With cooler weather comes an increase in sweeter, more feminine scents. Our personal favorite? Harvey Prince's Hello which features lemon, grapefruit, orange, plumeria, forsythia, verbena, vanilla, and musk.
- Fresh face: The all-natural, no-makeup look has been popular for a few seasons now, but we are finally figuring out how to master it. The trick is to start with a gently cleaned face, followed by a tinted moisturizer, minimal concealer, and a cream-based blush.
